NFL legend Tom Brady congratulated Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo after his record-breaking display against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Ronaldo scored a fantastic hat-trick against Spurs to give his side a 3-2 win at Old Trafford. This took his career goal tally to 807, the highest in official footballing record books.

After the game, Ronaldo was seen exchanging pleasantries with Brady, who patted the back of the Portuguese maestro, as seen below:

Ronaldo rolled back the years and put on a glistening performance on Saturday, dragging Manchester United to victory with his hat-trick. Tottenham Hotspur leveled the game twice with a Harry Kane penalty and a Harry Maguire own goal.

However, Ronaldo was too much to handle for Spurs on the day, and the 37-year-old decided the game with a third goal in the second half.

Ronaldo has now scored 12 goals in the EPL this season and is currently the Red Devils' highest goal scorer this season.

Despite Ronaldo’s brilliance, Ralf Rangnick's side have been poor this season. Saturday's win puts them in fourth place only for the time being.

Fifth-placed Arsenal, who are two points behind the Red Devils in the standings, have four games in hand, including their match against Leicester City this Sunday.

Shabby results, rumored problems in the dressing room, and alleged controversies have followed Manchester United throughout the season. Combined with calls for Harry Maguire to be dropped as captain, which Ralf Rangnick refused to do, things at Old Trafford have gone awry.

When rumors about Cristiano Ronaldo's potential exit from Old Trafford took the news by storm, there was little surprise. The Red Devils' recent game against Spurs may have showcased Ronaldo's brilliance, but it will do little to dismiss the rumors surrounding his exit.

It has been alleged, according to The Mirror, that the 37-year-old will leave Manchester United in the summer if the club fail to secure Champions League qualification.

Manchester United are reportedly open to letting Cristiano Ronaldo leave the club if he decides to do so in the summer, and are interested in Everton forward Richarlison to potentially replace the Por dlvr.it/SLGYfv

With Arsenal close behind them in the Premier League and a Champions League trophy looking unlikely, Manchester United may not qualify for the coveted European spots. This could spell an exit for their Portuguese marksman if rumors are to be believed.
