Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has caught up with former Reds midfielder Adam Lallana ahead of his team's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Merseyside-based club have traveled to the Amex Stadium for their 28th Premier League match of the season. They will be looking to extend their winning run in the league to eight games this afternoon.

Liverpool will meet a familiar face in the Brighton team today in the shape of Lallana. Although the Englishman has not been named in the Seagulls' starting lineup, he could come off the bench during the game.

Reds manager Klopp took the time to talk to Lallana before kick-off. The two embraced each other as the midfielder warmed up on the pitch ahead of the match.

Lallana did not feature in Brighton's last two Premier League games. However, the 33-year-old midfielder will be keen to play against his former employers at the Amex Stadium today. It remains to be seen if Graham Potter intends to bring him on against the Reds.

The former Southampton star started against Klopp's side at Anfield earlier in the season. He even provided an assist as the Seagulls held Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in the Premier League.

Lallana put an end to his six-year association with Jurgen Klopp's side in the summer of 2020. The Englishman left Anfield to join the Reds' Premier League rivals Brighton.

The midfielder scored and assisted 22 goals each during his six-year stint with the Reds. It is worth noting that he also helped the Merseyside-based club win both the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
