"We have not agreed terms with any club" - Bayern Munich star's agent shuts down Real Madrid contract agreement rumors
Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies' agent Nedal Huoseh denied reports of the defender allegedly agreeing to a 2025 contract with Real Madrid. The Canadian has been heavily linked to a move to join Los Blancos next summer with his contract renewal with Bayern still on hold.
Davies joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps for a reported $35.5M including base fee and bonuses. He has made 210 appearances for the Bavarian giants across competitions, recording 11 goals and 34 assists. He has won one Champions League title, five Bundesliga titles and two DFB-Pokal cups among other honors. Davies was also part of Bayern's treble winning 2019-20 side under Hansi Flick.
Davies' current contract with Bayern Munich ends in June 2025 with multiple reports linking him to a move to Real Madrid. MARCA reported on Friday (November 15) that Davies was set to join Los Blancos in January and had allegedly agreed to their contract terms.
Following such reports, Alphonso Davies' agent Nedal Huoseh told transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
"Done deal with Real Madrid? This is NOT true. Though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club. New deal at FC Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect."
The Merengues have been struggling with their defense this season, with multiple defenders out with injuries. Usual starters for Ancelotti, including Eder Militao, Lucas Vasquez, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal are all unavailable.
The Spanish giants are reportedly keen on signing Davies to bolster their backline. The Canadian left-back will enter the final six months of his contract with the Bundesliga giants in January and will reportedly be free to negotiate with any club during this time.
Will Real Madrid bring back Sergio Ramos amid defensive woes? Fabrizio Romano provides update
It is no secret that Real Madrid must sign a center-back soon enough amid multiple defenders injured. In recent weeks, Los Blancos legend Sergio Ramos was linked to a potential return to the Bernabeu.
The Spanish legend is currently without a club after his stint at Sevilla (2023-24) and could potentially join as a free agent. However, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, there has been no talks between Ramos and Real Madrid. The former Merengues captain would reportedly be keen to return to his former club but no contacts have been made yet.
Sergio Ramos is considered one of the greatest players in Real Madrid's history. The Spaniard represented Los Blancos between 2005 and 2021, making 671 appearances across competitions. Ramos contributed 101 goals and 40 assists during this time. He has four Champions League titles and five LaLiga titles among other accolades with the Spanish giants.
