"We ain’t missing Odegaard", "Take a bow" - Fans hail Arsenal star for his performance in win over PSG in UCL clash

Fans took to social media in praise of Arsenal forward Leandro Trossard, who impressed in their 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The Gunners invited the Parisian giants to the Emirates on October 1 and secured all three points with a comprehensive display.

The Belgian international continued his rich vein of form, having scored in their last match against Leicester City and guided the Gunners to a 4-2 win. This time around, PSG faced the brunt of Trossard's unrelenting energy in the 74 minutes he spent on the pitch.

Trossard was a thorn in the Parisians' defense with his dribbling, making two successful dribbles and getting fouled three times. He was also an active defensive threat from the front, winning six duels. His main quality, though, was in causing problems for the opposition defenders, as he provided an assist for Kai Havertz to score Arsenal's opener.

The forward beat his marker, drove to the edge of the box, and lifted a pinpoint cross towards Havertz. The German attacker got to the ball before PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and put his header into the net in the 20th minute. The second goal came just 15 minutes later, as Bukayo Saka's low free-kick found the goal.

Fans on social media heaped praise on Leandro Trossard with posts like these:

"We ain’t missing Odegaard coz Trossard is COOKING," a fan claimed.
"Trossard great performance," another wrote.
"Trossard is such an impactful player #ARSPSG" a third posted.
"Take a bow Trossard, brilliant today" a fan wrote.
"Great performance from Trossard. What a season for him so far," another added.
"This Trossard performance will NOT be forgotten," a pleased fan promised.

Arsenal 2-0 PSG: Match review

Arsenal secured their win and all three points in the first half, before giving the Parisians no chance to return fire with some rather firm defending. It is worth noting that PSG had 65% of the possession, as the Gunners let them hold on to the ball, but it did not amount to much for the Parisians.

The visitors had ten shots at goal, but only two on target, while they failed to create any big chances. Their ten shots gave them an xG of 0.31. The Gunners, on the other hand, had just six shots at goal, but they were clinical, with five of those on target. They created one big chance and had an xG of 0.76.

PSG attempted 645 with a 90% accuracy, while Arsenal had just 355 passes, with 81% accuracy.
