"We signed a contract with Cristiano Ronaldo not only as a player" - Al-Nassr president lifts lid on Portuguese superstar's contract details
Al-Nassr president Muhammad Al Muammar recently lifted the lid on Cristiano Ronaldo's deal with the club. The Portuguese superstar is reportedly earning a massive £173 million per year with the Saudi Pro League (SPL) club.
Al-Muammar was quizzed about the club's deal with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner in a recent press conference. The Al-Nassr president said (via 9NFCBall):
"We signed a contract with Cristiano Ronaldo not only as a player, but also got his own commercial rights, which will be activated after the end of the current season and will have an impact on the tourism side and others."
Al-Muammar further added:
"Because of time pressure and the sports program, we were unable to show Al-Nassr's contract with Cristiano Ronaldo, and the Communication and Media Center at Al-Nasr Club is trying to work by sending simple messages."
Ronaldo joined the Riyadh-based club as a free agent after his Manchester United exit. The Portuguese superstar has since scored 13 goals and has provided three assists for the Middle-Eastern side.
