"We’ve already won a trophy. It’s getting better and better" - Kylian Mbappe details start to life at new club Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe has said that his life at Real Madrid has started well and is going to get better. The Frenchman was quizzed about his start at the club he signed for over the summer.

The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward is currently back in France on international duty. Mbappe had come under a bit of criticism for his failure to score in the club's first three league matches.

His life at Madrid had started well as he scored a goal on his debut as the club won the UEFA Super Cup. His La Liga campaign did not start as well as he blanked in the first three matches. The Merengues were only able to register a win and two draws from their opening three fixtures.

His goal drought came to an end at the Santiago Bernabeu, however, as he scored both goals in Los Blancos' 2-0 win over Real Betis. Speaking to the press on international duty, Mbappe calmed any fears about his start at the club.

"My time at Real Madrid is going very well and I’m very happy. We’ve already won a trophy. It’s getting better and better. Everything’s going well," he said via Madrid Universal.

The Frenchman slammed critics for doubting him after he failed to score in the club's first three La Liga matches, saying he doesn't listen to what people say about him.

"I don’t know what the critics think, I don’t notice it anymore, I come, I play, what people think is the least of my worries. We can’t please everyone," Mbappe added.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti in the press conference after Real Madrid's 2-0 win over La Real said that the goal would do Mbappe a world of good.

"We have never put pressure on him. He played a good game, like everyone else, he had many opportunities. It’s important for him to score," Ancelotti said to the press via Managing Madrid.

Real Madrid have started the La Liga season slowly, drawing two matches away from home and winning two. They find themselves four points behind rivals Barcelona in the early stages of the season.

"I can play in all three forward positions" - Real Madrid's Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe is part of a formidable attack at Real Madrid that includes Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes. The Brazilians have been deployed on the wings with the Frenchman leading the line for the club.

When asked if playing as a striker was hindering his goalscoring prowess, the Frenchman claimed that he is comfortable playing anywhere in the front three.

"I can play in all three forward positions and I’ve done well in all three positions," Mbappe said in a press conference ahead of his return to Parc des Princes.

The 25-year-old is expected to feature for France in their UEFA Nations League matches against Italy (September 6) and Belgium (September 9).
