“Welcome to the good side of London” - KSI sends message to Raheem Sterling after he joins Arsenal from Chelsea
Popular YouTuber KSI has reacted to Raheem Sterling's post announcing the latter's loan move from Chelsea to Arsenal. The English winger's season-long loan deal stems from Blues boss Enzo Maresca publicly declaring that the attacker will not see many minutes under him.
There is an opportunity for Sterling to leave a mark at the Emirates, with no guaranteed starter on the left wing. Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard continue to fight it out on that flank, as they did in the previous campaign.
Posing in the 2024/25 season's Arsenal kits, the 29-year-old wrote on Instagram:
"New Threads, New Number, New Focus."
Aiming a cheeky dig at the Gunners' London rivals, KSI, who is an Arsenal fan, commented:
"Welcome to the good side of London."
The former Manchester City man will also be able to provide cover for Bukayo Saka on the right wing at the Emirates. Currently, there aren't many options for Mikel Arteta to turn to in case he needs to rotate the left-footed attacker.
Sterling is an accomplished footballer who made 339 appearances across competitions at Manchester City, bagging 131 goals and 73 assists. He's won the Premier League trophy on four occasions while having lifted the FA Cup once at the Etihad.
However, Sterling endured a tough time at Chelsea, making 81 appearances across competitions, scoring 19 goals and registering 12 assists. He could feature for the Gunners when they face Tottenham Hotspur on September 15 after the international break.
Victor Osimhen could cut loan spell short if Arsenal or Chelsea bid for him in January- Reports
Napoli loanee Victor Osimhem has joined Galatasaray until the end of the 2024/25 season after failing to agree a deal with either Arsenal or Chelsea. Both teams were seemingly interested in signing an established number nine this summer.
Now, it is claimed by A Spor that the Nigeria international could cut short his loan deal if any of the 10 specified clubs bid for the striker (via Metro). According to Turkish reporter Kagan Dursun, Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs that have been mentioned in this list along with Liverpool and Bayern Munich and others.
Fabrizio Romano has also clarified that Osimhen has a release clause of €75 million that could have to be met to sign him. It must also be noted that Galatasaray do not have the option of buying the player at the end of his deal.
