“Where were you 7 hours ago???” - USMNT legend Landon Donovan explains hair transplant procedure after his bizarre haircut goes viral during Euro 2024

Landon Donovan has explained his hair transplant procedure after the USMNT legend's bizarre haircut went viral during EURO 2024. He was notably a pundit for the group-stage match between France and Austria at the Merkur Spiel-Arena on June 17, as Les Bleus beat their opponents 1-0.

The USMNT legend was working with Fox Sports for the game, but it was difficult to focus on his work, as huge gaps could be seen in his hair, with his scalp exposed. This was shocking to fans, with Donovan's haircut going viral.

His former LA Galaxy teammate Mike Magee has now shared an explanation of what actually happened. Donovan had a hair transplant procedure, which turned out with rather poor results. Magee shared a screenshot of their conversation on social media platform X, where he reached out to Donovan asking:

"LD check twitter asap and prob fire your barber."

Donovan responded:

"Where were you 7 hours ago??? Had a hair transplant procedure two weeks ago and was told it wouldn't show up on camera."

Magee responded with, “Who told you that Rafa Marquez?!” to which the EURO 2024 pundit reacted by sending laughing emojis and a middle-finger emoji.

Magee then asked for permission to post it before doing so on X:

Roy Keane slams France superstar Kylian Mbappe for antics during 1-0 win over Austria in EURO 2024

Roy Keane has slammed France superstar Kylian Mbappe for his time-wasting antics during their 1-0 win over Austria in EURO 2024. It was a tightly contested clash that saw the only goal come from an own goal by Maximillian Wober, with Les Bleus unable to find the target themselves.

During the game, Mbappe saw his nose fractured during a collision with Kevin Danso, which saw him leave the pitch. However, he returned soon after, sitting on the grass and picking up a yellow card, which Roy Keane did not take kindly to. The Euro 2024 pundit said on ITV (via GOAL):

"He gets an injury, obviously it’s frustrating he’s gone back on the pitch. Whether he’s trying to stop the play... but he’s gone on to sit on the pitch. I don’t like to see this, this is out of order. Listen, whether he’s been instructed by the manager to go back, he’s obviously had treatment, he’s come off."
"I don’t mind he’s gone back on the pitch, I know players can make mistakes. But to go back on and sit on the pitch, he deserved that yellow card. I don’t like to see it. No, it’s not [good gamesmanship]."

France have won their Euro 2024 opener and will be on the hunt for another win when face the Netherlands on Friday (June 21).
