“Why they sat me in the boring side” - Cardi B expresses desire to sit with PSG Ultras after being unimpressed by atmosphere at her end
Famous singer Cardi B had an underwhelming experience while watching Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in action last month. She proclaimed she sat on the "boring side" of the Parc des Princes, PSG's home ground.
The 31-year-old American singer was in France to attend the Paris Fashion Week on September 25. She attended PSG's Ligue 1 clash with Rennes three days later.
Cardi B expressed her disappointment on her Instagram stories over the lack of enthusiasm in her section of the stadium. She watched the match from the Presidential stand, which she called "mad quiet" and tagged the crowd "boujee".
She commented on how much more lively the PSG Ultras at the Auteuil bend was during the match and called them 'Ratch'. The term, a twist on 'Ratchet', is slang in American hip-hop culture that indicates people that display boisterous and unruly behavior.
"Why they sat me in the boring side," questioned the rapper.
"I don't want to sit with the Boujee people, I want to sit with the Ratch," she added.
Cardi B's appearance in Paris surprised many as she gave birth to her third child, a baby girl, on September 7. Just 18 days later, she attended the fashion week. The Grammy award-winning rapper, known for her bold looks, created waves at the event pulling off multiple chic outfits effortlessly.
A look at PSG's season so far
Despite losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid in the summer, PSG have started the season strongly. They are undefeated this season, having won five out of their six Ligue 1 matches. Luis Enrique's side are level on points with second-placed Monaco but are ahead courtesy of a better goal difference.
Their Champions League campaign also started with a win, but the French giants were made to work hard by Spanish side Girona. They needed a last-minute own goal from Paulo Gazzanigga to emerge victorious at home.
The challenge for PSG gets tougher as they travel to London to face Premier League side Arsenal in their second European match of the season on Tuesday, October 1. Speaking to the press ahead of the match, Enrique praised the Gunners, calling them "one of the best teams in Europe".
"I think they are one of the best teams in Europe at the moment. With the ball they are a team very close to the top European level and without the ball they are also very good," Enrique said via the Mirror.
Mikel Arteta's Arsenal are also undefeated this season and will be aiming to keep it that way when they host the French giants at the Emirates.
