"Will lose Chelsea at least 6 points on his own", "Leave my club immediately" - Fans slam Chelsea star for his performance in loss to Liverpool
Chelsea fans have blasted goalkeeper Robert Sanchez for his poor performance in their 2-1 Premier League loss against Liverpool. The two sides faced each other at Anfield on Sunday, October 20.
Mohamed Salah broke the deadlock in the 29th minute with a well-dispatched penalty after Levi Colwill fouled Curtis Jones inside the box. Sanchez conceded another spot-kick just before half-time after appearing to bring down Jones. Fortunately for the Blues, the referee reversed his decision after consulting the pitch-side monitor.
Nicolas Jackson leveled the scores with a low finish in the 48th minute. However, Jones restored Liverpool's lead three minutes later with a clever finish past Sanchez, who arguably could have done better to prevent it.
Sanchez looked shaky in some moments, which led to fans voicing their displeasure on X. One fan posted:
"ROBERT SANCHEZ LEAVE MY CLUB IMMEDIATELY. THIS GUY IS THE WORST KEEPER IVE EVER SEEN"
Another fan tweeted:
"Martinez will win Villa at least 6 points on his own. Sanchez will lose Chelsea at least 6 points on his own. Ultimately that’s the difference between Europa and Champions League."
