"Worst big game player ever", "Sorry but he's not world-class" - England fans call out superstar after Euro 2024 final loss to Spain

Fans have blasted England skipper Harry Kane on X after his underwhelming performance in their 2-1 loss to Spain in the Euro 2024 final on Sunday, July 14. La Roja remained flawless in the tournament, becoming the first-ever team to win all seven of their games, to lift their fourth European Championship in Berlin.

The first half remained fairly uneventful with both sides only landing one shot on target. However, Spain were dealt a massive blow after Manchester City superstar Rodri was forced off at half-time due to an injury.

Despite this, La Roja showed great character to break the deadlock in the 47th minute. Lamine Yamal recorded his fourth assist of Euro 2024 as Nico Williams found the bottom-right corner with a good finish.

Cole Palmer leveled the scores with an accurate finish from distance in the 73rd minute, just three minutes after being subbed on. Yamal was denied by a top save from Jordan Pickford in the 82nd minute. However, Mikel Oyarzabal poked past Pickford four minutes later to break English hearts across the globe as they lost their second Euro final in a row.

Fans were far from impressed by Kane's performance as his trophy drought for club and country continued tonight. The 30-year-old failed to have any sort of notable attacking presence up front, completing just five passes from 10 attempts. He also created zero chances, landed no shots on target, and lost five duels. He was subbed off for Ollie Watkins in the 61st minute.

Kane also had just one shot, 58 touches and only one touch in the opponent's box across both the Euro 2020 and 2024 finals.
