Cristiano Ronaldo left a comment under Nacho's post, writing:

"You are one of the heros of Real Madrid's great history. Be proud of what you achieved, Nacho."

Nacho is the joint most decorated player in the history of Los Merengues. His contributions were often overlooked due to the presence of defenders like Raphael Varane, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, and others.

He became more prominent over the years. Especially in his last season at the club, Nacho played a pivotal role. Injuries to Eder Militao and David Alaba meant Nacho became a regular.

The 34-year-old won three trophies in his final season in the Spanish capital, La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Supercopa de Espana.

How many games did Cristiano Ronaldo and Nacho play together for Real Madrid?

Cristiano Ronaldo and Nacho played 117 games as Real Madrid teammates. They combined for one goal as well. The pair won four Champions Leagues and one La Liga title, among other trophies together.

Ronaldo and Nacho notably came face to face in the 2018 FIFA World Cup group stages when Portugal and Spain played out a 3-3 draw. This was both player's first official game after the 2017-18 Champions League final, which they won as teammates.

Nacho brought down Ronaldo early in the game inside the penalty area, handing Portugal a penalty. The latter scored a hat-trick in that game while Nacho also got on the scoresheet, finding the back of the net with a sizzling strike from outside the penalty area.
