“You’re doing a great job son” - Luke Littler shares hilarious meme on Lamine Yamal after Euro 2024 heroics

Professional darts player Luke Littler has shared a hilarious meme on his Instagram story about Lamine Yamal after the latter's Euro 2024 semi-final heroics. The Barcelona winger scored a world-class goal from outside the box in Spain's 2-1 win against France on Tuesday (July 9).

Yamal's strike came at a timely point, with La Roja trailing their opposition by a goal in the first half. Four minutes after the 16-year-old's goal, Dani Olmo gave his team the lead following a drilled effort from a tight angle inside the box.

Yamal also became the youngest-ever player to score a goal in the history of the European Championships. After the Blaugrana attacker's heroics, Littler shared an Instagram story, which sees the footballer asking:

"How am I doing boss?"

In the same meme, Littler replies:

"You're doing a great job son... a great job."

Yamal has been a key component of Spain's Euro 2024 campaign, having also provided three assists in five appearances in the competition. With the player so young, he is likely to have a long career.

For now, Spain will be focused on their European Championship final on Sunday (July 14). The winners between England and the Netherlands' semi-final match on Wednesday (July 10) will meet the Spaniards in the final.

Expect Yamal to start on the right flank for La Roja, where he has operated all throughout the tournament.

BBC Sport pundit Alan Shearer was full of praise for Spain winger Lamine Yamal, who was brilliant once again in his country's Euro 2024 semi-final win against France.

Besides scoring the goal, he made two key passes and created one big chance for his team. Speaking at the half-time break for BBC Sport about the Barcelona prodigy, Shearer said (via MSN):

"Just incredible. We've been talking about him this tournament and seeing him at 16, to come and perform at this level, under this scrutiny, and then to do that, just outrageous. I mean, he shouldn't even be up that late."

However, Yamal isn't a new name within the football community after the youngster managed to break into Barcelona's first team this season. He played 50 matches across competitions for the Catalan club in the 2023/24 campaign, bagging seven goals and 10 assists.
