Video: Neymar's best goal ever
Neymar da Silva Santos Jr born 5 Feb 1992 plays football for the Spainish club Barcelona in La Liga and more importantly he is currently representing the hosts in the FIFA World Cup. He has been declared prodigy already and he has not disappointed his fans. After the match last night against Mexico where Brazil drew the game,Neymar’s sublime form was once again pick of the headlines. On this mark, let’s talk about the finest goal Neymar has ever produced.
One of his finest appearance happens to be against the same rivals they faced last night, Mexico. In this game, he was superb in his approach with an assist and a sintillating nine minute goal. What was arguably his finest outing in yellow, he pierced the goal with a volley from a defender. This was a performance the fans would like to again from Neymar Jr. Before this game, Neymar wrote some overwhelming words on Instagram,
The only way I can represent and defend Brazil is on field, playing football... and for this game against Mexico I take to the field inspired by this movement...
But his best goal was not this, even it was the need of the hour. His best goal is probably the one that won him the FIFA Puskas Award in 2012. This was a goal he scored against the Flamengo playing for his first club Santos. He won this award at the FIFA’s annual function beating his fellow strikers, Lionel Messi and Wayne Rooney. Neymar at that time, the Santos striker, has described the solo effort which earned him the FIFA best goal of the year as the “Perfect Move”. He was just 19 at that time and he danced past three defenders, completed a one-two with a teammate before chipping the ball past the Flamengo goalkeeper. Although Flamengo had the last laugh by winning 5-4.
“I think its the best goal I have ever scored”, Brazilian said, “ I picked up the ball on the left, went past two opponents and laid the ball off to a teammate. We played a great one-two and I managed to wriggle clear of two more opponents and put the ball away. It was just about the perfect move.”
Whether Neymar is the best among the present lot, its a sand clock to watch, but he has many skills which can make him one of the greatest ever. He has this ability to play with both of his feet and have many assists with Santos, Barca and Brazil; apart from this he can play in many positions, as winger on both sides, striker and even as an attacking mid-fielder. But again he is very young at 21 years and there is plenty of room for development and he is in the bestest of the hands when it comes to development.
