Neymar picks his favourite three strikers and there is no place for Luis Suarez
What’s the story?
Neymar has picked his favourite three strikers in the world but has not picked his teammate - Luis Suarez! The three strikers chose by the Brazilian attacker were: Gabriel Jesus, Paulo Dybala and Antoine Griezmann.
"I like (Antoine) Griezmann very much, but I have a great affection for Gabriel Jesus. I love him for how he plays and because we play together in the Selecao and we did at the Rio Olympic Games. He has entered the main Selecao very well; he is a boy with a lot of potential. I will also say Dybala, the famous Argentinian left-footer. If you leave him alone, he can hurt you." said the former Santos star to Brazilian news outlet, Esporte Interativo.
In case you didn’t know...
Neymar has been playing with Luis Suarez ever since the striker joined the Catalan side from Liverpool in 2014. The duo, along with Lionel Messi, has formed the world's most formidable attack. The trio is feared by all the defenders in the world.
The heart of the matter
Neymar has left the world shocked by not picking Suarez among the three strikers he likes the most. While the choices are all young players, who have the capability of becoming the best in the world soon, it is a surprise that he did not pick the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Costa and Robert Lewandowski as well.
Gabriel Jesus is a player with whom the Barcelona man plays with on National duty. He has been snapped up by Manchester City and has been backed to be the best in the world soon by several former players, including Ronaldinho.
Paulo Dybala is a striker everyone fears now. He showed what he's made of in the Serie A and has now gone on to throw Barcelona out of the Champions League single-handedly. His two early goals in the first leg of the match changed the game completely.
What Antoine Griezmann is doing at Atletico Madrid is not unknown. He has been in top form for several years now and has been linked with a world record move to Manchester United in the summer. Reports have even suggested that Real Madrid and Barcelona are also keen on signing him, but it's impossible to see him move there from Atletico.
What’s next?
Neymar is set to miss the El Clasico tomorrow due to a suspension. He was handed a three-match suspension for sarcastically clapping at the referee's decision to send him off against Malaga.
Author’s Take
While it's a big thing for us to say that Neymar has not picked the best striker in te world, he has obviously picked the 3 best young strikers. That is something we cannot argue about.
