Neymar slams Brazil for lack of determination
Brazil striker Neymar lambasted his country for lacking the determination during training, which is normally seen in Europe.
Brazil endured a deplorable World Cup on home soil where their ambitions of acquiring a 6th title was smashed by Germany when they were walloped 7-1 in the semi-finals. The defeat was compounded by a 3-0 loss to the Dutch in the third/fourth play-off, leaving them empty handed in their own turf.
The Barcelona forward attributed the failure to the run-of-the-mill approach practiced in his country and criticises for the poor attitude. He said,"Every training in Europe is taken seriously. In Brazil, it's different. You train more, but sometimes you train with less determination. Brazilians are like that."
The 22-year old feels Brazil are a notch below Germany and Spain and insists they need to walk the extra mile to get on par with them. "I think Brazilian football is behind. Its behind Germamy and Spain. We have fallen behind and we have to man up and admit that",he added.
