Neymar speaks about possible transfer and says "Anything could happen"
Brazil and Barcelona superstar Neymar has finally opened up about his possible summer transfer to another club. Speculations involving his switch to a Premier League side has been on the horizon for the past couple of months but this is the first time the man himself opened up about it.
In a post match interview after Barcelona’s 6-1 victory over Celta Vigo, the young Brazilian told a reporter that, “anything could happen”, adding fuel to an already hot topic. However, the Barcelona forward was unwilling to give away further details. He admitted that negotiations involving his contract are already underway and refused to comment on his possible destination.
Last night’s victory extended Barcelona’s unbeaten run to 30 matches in all competitions. Celta Vigo is the only club in recent history who can boast of two victories against Barca in their last three meetings. Barca’s current coach Luis Enrique left Celta in 2014 to join the Catalans and was spectator to his former club’s brilliant performance against his current club. Last night’s match was also going forward in the same vein as lowly Celta side had managed to keep the game to a 1-1 scoreline till the halfway mark. However, after the break, Barcelona’s MSN trio showed their true potential and demolished the Celta side with a thumping 6-1 victory.
Neymar showed how important he is in the Barcelona line-up with his performance and contributed to the scoreline with a goal. This took Neymar’s scoring tally to 17 int the league this season. The Brazilian has also contributed with nine assists and currently is sitting on top of the charts for creating the most number of goal scoring opportunities in the Spanish top flight.
It has to be mentioned that back in January of this calendar year, Neymar had expressed his admiration for Pep Guardiola and had expressed his desire to play for him at some point in his career.
