Nicklas Bendtner suspended for six months by Denmark
Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who is on loan at Juventus, was recently arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. And the Danish international has paid the price for it as his national team has suspended him from international football for 6 months.
Bendtner was booked on Saturday evening for driving on the wrong side of the road in Copenhagen and was found drunk at the time.
Bendtner later took to Twitter to express his remorse, although that hasn’t spared him from being punished by the national team.
“Dear friends, I was booked for a mild case of drink driving last night. It was a quiet night but I am very very sorry to all my friends and fans. It is not OK to drink and drive. I take full responsibility,” he tweeted.
