No more summer signings: Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirms that Bayern would not buy anymore players in this summer transfer window

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has disclosed that the Bavarians will not be buying any more players in this summer transfer window as they are content with their squad strength.

Speaking to the Bild, Rummenigge said: We will not make any more purchases. We have the squad to stand now, as we wanted it.

“We have deliberately brought alongside Thiago and Gotze, because we see it as the greatest talent of his year in Germany and Europe.”

Bayern have spent £ 54.5 million so far for the services of Thiago Alcantara from Barcelona and Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund. They have also got centre back Jan Kirchhoff on a free transfer from FSV Mainz 05.

They were rumoured to be in the hunt for Chelsea defender David Luiz.
