Okore falls asleep during medical
Jores Okore, Paul Lambert’s latest signing took the expression ‘laid back’ to a whole new level when he fell asleep during his medical.
Okore, who signed a four year deal worth £4million with Aston Villa, dozed off while being subjected to an MRI scan.
The 20-year-old FC Nordsjaelland defender said “I just wanted to get the MRI scan done quickly. Boy, was I wrong. I was in the scanner and started a two-hour session.
“I have to remain completely quiet. I’m listening to the radio and I’m wondering what it will be like.
“How will my new life in Birmingham be? Will I speak English with a British twang? But I dozed off after half an hour and woke up an hour later.
Thankfully the Denmark ace’s scan results came out fine.
In another story featuring another Summer signing worth £1.75million, midfielder Leandro Bacuna said that he will be as alert as he can be following his arrival at the club thanks to Villa’s own skipper Ron Vlaar.
Bacuna, 21, said: said: “I played against Ron when he was with Feyenoord.”
“He made a very good step in coming to Aston Villa and now I am following in his footsteps. I’m going to do my best to be a fans’ favourite.”
