Paul Pogba wants Real Madrid, while agent Mino Raiola is pushing for Manchester United - reports

Paul Pogba’s future has been subject to intense speculation

The transfer saga of Paul Pogba has dominated headlines all over the world and now it is set for a new twist as latest reports from Cadena Ser claim that Pogba is intent on a move to La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The French midfielder has been heavily linked with Manchester United, with some reports even claiming that the deal was done. However, the player himself is reluctant to go back to Old Trafford.

Former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson allowed him to leave United as a free agent in 2012 and he joined Juventus that summer. The move has probably been one of the few mistakes made by the former Manchester United manager in his career. After moving to Italy, Pogba has gone on to become one of the most sought out midfielders in Europe.

Mourinho in his first press conference admitted that he wants to bring in four specialists in the summer transfer window.

"We made a nucleus of four positions as a priority to give a certain balance to the squad, and a push in terms of quality that I want," United manager explained.

"As you know, especially the ones with more vision, I am a manager that likes specialists, not multi-functional players."

The Manchester United manager has already managed to sign three of his targets and Pogba is believed to be his fourth. Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic's agent is Mino Raiola, who is also Pogba's representative. Raiola has already held negotiations with the 20-time English champions in helping two of his clients join United and the English side are hoping to land his third client join them this summer.

Mino Raiola has a very good relationship with Manchester United and it is believed that Raiola has promised the club he will do his utmost to persuade Pogba to join them. United have made Pogba their priority signing and reports claim that they are ready to break the bank to secure the Frenchman's services.

The player himself meanwhile wants to move to Real Madrid, however, a move to the Spanish capital seems difficult as Los Blancos are not prepared to pay the astronomical €120 million fee.

Any move for Pogba will mean that Real Madrid will have to sell either Toni Kroos or James Rodriguez. Zidane sees Kroos as a vital member of the squad, while James himself is willing to stay and fight for his spot.

The same report also claims that Pogba will only join United, if Real decide against making an approach for his signature. With Juventus almost having completed the signing of Higuain, Paul Pogba seems certain to leave. The only question remaining is whether it will be Manchester United or Real Madrid.
