Pep Guardiola answers questions about Ibrahimovic's agent calling him a nasty man but great coach
The current Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has answered back Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent Mino Raiola for the verbal attack on him by expressing gratitude – for praising him for being a good coach. Raiola had earlier attacked Guardiola for having mistreated the Paris St.German striker in his time at Barcelona.
Goal has reported that the former Barcelona coach didn’t get into a duel of words and countered the attack by acknowledging the Swedish international’s agent for having called him a great coach.
Guardiola treated Ibra very badly: Raiola
At a recent press conference, the 44-year-old Spain-born famous coach, when asked about the agent’s remarks on him, replied. "Raiola? He said that I am a great coach, so I can only thank him,"
Raiola, who is mostly quite outspoken about his views, had launched a scathing strike on the world famous manager, but had praised his managerial skills and had said: “He [Pep Guardiola] is a nasty piece of work as a man, but a great coach. Guardiola was the man who took Ibra to Barcelona and later he treated him very badly.”
The agent was talking about how the 33-year-old was mistreated at Nou Camp during the 2009-10 season, wherein Ibrahimovic fell out with the manager and then moved on to AC Milan after just one year in Spain – a period of time the Swede has described as the shattering of a dream.
