Pep Guardiola avoiding Toni Kroos talk; Manchester United move still on the cards

Toni Kroos (R) and Dante of Bayern Muenchen arrive for a training session on February 6, 2014 in Munich, Germany.

Toni Kroos‘ situation at Bayern Munich doesn’t seem to have improved as the German is being constantly outcasted by manager Pep Guardiola who has even refused to talk about the player.

“I am only talking about players who have played,” Pep Guardiola told the press when asked about Kroos after Bayern Munich’s 2-0 win against Nurnberg.

Apparently, Kroos who was being linked with a move to English side Manchester United in the January transfer window, is looking for a better contract which expires next season. It has been suggested that the 24-year old is looking for a deal around €8 million per year, something Bayern Munich are not ready to agree with.

He recently spoke about his situation through Facebook and revealed that he has not been able to agree a new contract with Munich.

Toni Kroos insists that he is happy at Munich.

“Much has been written, especially in the last few days, about my sporting future. The fact is I am very happy to play for Bayern and my position in the team is very good. The fact is also that we couldn’t agree a new contract. Since it runs until 2015 this is not a big problem and we will see what the future brings. My focus is on the sport side of things and we will do everything possible to complete the season as successfully as last season.”
German paper Bild recently reported that Manchester United were more than happy to offer the contract that the player was looking for.
