Pep Guardiola in new Man City link
Pep Guardiola continues to be in the news, with every day seemingly linking him to a new club.
Although the majority of the rumors have linked him to Chelsea and AC Milan, it seems that he may be heading elsewhere, as the Guardian and The Sun report.
Guardiola’s agent, José Maria Orobitg, claims his client is open about moving to not only Milan or London’s Chelsea, but also with Manchester City.
“Anything is possible for next season and I’ve already said this before”, Maria said. He went on to add, “I won’t rule out anything, but when I say that everything is possible, then I’m also referring to Manchester City, Chelsea and other important clubs.”
The last comment should thus not rule Manchester United too, who have revealed that they have already begun preparations for replacing Sir Alex Ferguson, whenever he chooses to retire.
The Sun, however, make a more direct claim that Roberto Mancini is in danger of losing his job at Manchester City, with the arrival of former Barcelona director of football, Txiki Begiristain and chief executive Ferrero Soriano, making City an attractive proposition for Guardiola.
Orobitg has also rubbished reports of talks with Milan, saying, “…so far we haven’t talked about Milan, which is also because Guardiola won’t be coaching until next term. We will talk about his future again in June.”
