Pepe Reina happy with Napoli's link with Martin Skrtel

Pepe Reina is happy that Napoli are interested in luring Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel because the Spanish goalkeeper believes his former teammate has the necessary attributes to improve the Italian club.

Rafa Benitez had earlier signed Reina on loan from his former employers and now, he is targeting another Liverpool player.

Reina was reluctant to give any response to this possible transfer.

He said: “I don’t know what Napoli are looking for but I can say Martin Skrtel is a good player, but he is a Liverpool player. His qualities would be great for any team and he is a great player.

“I respect Liverpool, Martin Skrtel and all of the Napoli players, so I can’t say anything more about this.”

Martin Skrtel has played 151 matches for Liverpool, scoring seven goals.
