German football star captain Bastian Schweinsteiger and Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic tied the knot in front of friends, family and fellow sports stars on Tuesday in a beautiful ceremony in Venice. The couple, who have been together since 2014 took a flight to Italy a day after the 2016 Euro Final, and got hitched among those close to their hearts.

The 31-year-old groom sported a navy blue two-piece suit, which the 28 year old bride looked stunning in a traditional pristine white wedding dress. After being pronounced man and wife, the couple left the wedding venue and made their wait to a waiting boat, which took them away some time later. 

The venue for the wedding was Venice City Hall, which was beautifully decorated to celebrate the wedding of the Manchester United star and the Serbian tennis player. The 2008 French Open Winner and the former Germany captain were clicked taking a romantic boat ride around the Floating City, flanked by two bodyguards in white shirts and black blazers. 

Friends and family did not have a clue of where the wedding was going to take place, and were just told to turn up at the Munich Airport on Monday morning, before being flown to Venice in a private jet, according to German media.
