Player of the Month Awards - November
After a week of voting and thousands of votes, Sportskeeda’s readers have decided who their November’s Players of the Month are. Check out our winners here:
Goalkeeper of the month: John Ruddy
Ruddy was on hand to nearly single-handedly deny Manchester United the deliverence of all three points on their meeting at Carrow Road. He was a huge factor is determining that Norwich remain undefeated in November while pulling out an average of 4 saves a game.
Defender of the month: Sergio Ramos
Real Madrid may have been unable to keep clean sheets in November, but Sergio Ramos to his credit has put in one tremendous shift after another. His impressive form saw him score a goal against Bilbao and was unlucky to hit the crossbar against Levante with a back heel. His prowess in the air was really evident as he went on to win 64% aerial duels on the field, while his tackling was more than 90% successful in La Liga.
Midfielder of the month: Mario Gotze and Marouane Fellaini
Gotze was in sparkling form this past month as he led his Dortmund side to an unbeaten run that kept then in contention for the Bundesliga title. He was instrumental in Dortmund’s resurgent run, as he scored twice and created another five in all competitions.
Everton on the other hand wouldn’t have been a formidable force this season without Fellaini. He has been the focal figure in Moyes’ formation, as almost every goal-scoring opportunity demands his decisive touch of genius. He single-handedly secured important points for Everton, with 4 goals and an assist to his name, in the month of November.
Striker of the month: Lionel Messi
Barcelona won five of their six matches in November, only losing away to Celtic, and scored a total of 18 goals over that period. One man, Lionel Messi, scored half of those himself, and created one for his team, making him, as often, the favourite for our striker of the month award. It is no wonder then, that the Argentinian is also the favourite to win the Ballon d’Or yet again.
