How Manchester United should line up to beat West Ham United
After a dire display against Brighton last week that resulted in Manchester United's 7th loss this season, Jose Mourinho will demand a response from his stars when they travel to London to visit West Ham United.
Mourinho decided to rotate his squad against Brighton and the decision to do so backfired. Romelu Lukaku's foot injury was an excuse to start Marcus Rashford as a striker and Alexis Sanchez's illness saw Anthony Martial given a rare start at left-wing.
However, both of them failed to make an impression as United succumbed to a defeat. Mourinho also decided to start Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Marouane Fellaini but none of them impressed.
West Ham are coming off the back of a 2-0 victory over Leicester City and will be looking to end the season on a high after succeeding in their task of avoiding relegation.
Mourinho will want a response and in a bid to gain some much-needed momentum going into next week's FA Cup final against Chelsea, a win today is imperative.
So we look at the ideal way in which Mourinho should line up today:
Goalkeeper: David de Gea
An absolute no-brainer really, de Gea could make history today and win his first ever Golden Glove. He currently has one more Clean Sheet than Ederson, and having played a game less, the Spaniard needs 1 more in the last 2 games to get his hands on the accolade.
However, United have kept just 1 clean sheet in their last 5 matches, partly because Mourinho has constantly rotated his centre-back pairing.
He will be wary of the threat West Ham possess - The Hammers have failed to score only twice in their last 14 games. Expect de Gea to be on top of his game today.
