Premier League clubs on alert as Real Madrid put Isco on sale
Real Madrid are ready to let Isco leave the club after the Spanish midfielder has struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane this season. According to the reliable journal Sport, Isco is itching to force a move away from Santiago Bernabeu with three Premier League clubs interested in his services.
Tottenham were linked with a late summer move for Isco which fell through on the deadline day. Spurs, in the end, managed to sign Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle, however, Mauricio Pochettino is keen to re-ignite his interest in the crafty playmaker.
Tottenham’s arch rivals Arsenal are also monitoring Isco’s developments at Real Madrid while Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is a big fan of Isco’s abilities on the ball.
Isco a tailor-made solution for Manchester United?
United are currently struggling to find the right mix to their squad with number 10 position being Mourinho’s biggest headache. Wayne Rooney is just doing enough to keep hold of his place in the lineup while new signing, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Juan Mata have done very little to make that position their own. Paul Pogba is also another worthy contender for that place but Mourinho is said to be keen on getting another established midfielder in January.
Isco has often played in that role in the past and has a very keen eye to find the final ball or even take a shot on goal. United’s early season struggles could see Mourinho make a January move for the Spanish international star.
Why is Isco on his way out of the club?
Zinedine Zidane has been looking to promote youth to his setup with Casemiro and more recently Maro Asensio making their impact on the Real Madrid squad. Isco and James Rodriguez both have been left to wait on the sidelines waiting for their chances.
While James has been given minutes on the pitch, Isco has been left on the sidelines for two games in a row now. Mateo Kovacic is another player who has featured in Zidane’s plan in recent weeks. It seems as if Isco’s days at Bernabeu are numbered and he could be the first player to leave in the upcoming January transfer window.

Real Madrid might want to consider their decision of letting Isco leave given their recent transfer ban where the Los Blancos have been banned from making any signings for next two transfer window. Zidane is already short of quality first team options in his midfield and to let Isco leave will be a huge blow to their domestic and European ambitions.
