Danny Simpson, Newcastle’s right back, was knocked unconscious outside of a Manchester takeaway after a brawl.

The brawl kicked off when the player got into a scuffle with a fellow customer queuing for food at the take away. The witnesses say that Simpson hit a man in his late 40s or 50s, knocking him to the ground. The player then left before being dragged back and punched. The player lied unconscious on the street for about 15 minutes until an ambulance arrived and took him to hospital.

Thankfully, Danny Simpson is now fine and this is what his confidant said “Danny’s fine and will be back training tomorrow.”

Danny Simpson has now only six months remaining on his contract and he has been hoping for a deal that is more lucrative than what has been offered. I just think the club may withdraw the current offer, let alone offer him a contract that he desires.

He really isn’t held in any regard by the club supporters and this really isn’t going to endear him to them any further. I doubt if we will see Danny in the famous black and white jersey of Newcastle United any more.
