Premier League referee Jon Moss reveals Jose Mourinho's rant at Boleyn Ground

Jose Mourinho was sent to the stands during half-time break in Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham earlier this season

Premier League official Jon Moss has revealed Jose Mourinho’s astonishing rant during his side’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham at Upton Park last month, as per the reports on Guardian. The Portuguese coach had an argument with Moss during the half-time interval and he was immediately sent to the stands to watch the remainder of the match.

The Football Association of England has revealed on Friday that Mourinho showed a ‘total lack of respect’ at half-time in October’ s defeat by the Hammers. Moss was accused by the Chelsea manager of being ‘f***ing weak’ and he had refused to leave the referee’ s dressing room twice.

For that incident, the former Real Madrid manager was slapped with a £40,000 fine by the FA as he did not appeal against the ban before yesterday’ s deadline and he will not be allowed to instruct his team from the dugout as Chelsea travel to Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City this weekend.

According to the statement released by the FA, West Ham’s security manager Simon Sutton had to escort the manager from the ref’s dressing room, soon after dismissing Nemanja Matic from the game and denying the Blues from taking a lead at the stroke of the half-time break.

“When myself and my colleagues left the field ... at half time, as we entered the tunnel area to get to our dressing room, Mr Mourinho ... was waiting for us clearly agitated and began aggressively asking about first half decisions.” Moss’ statement read.

“Rather than publicly speak to him I asked him to step into the entrance of my dressing room escorted by Simon Sutton, the West Ham Security Manager. Mr Mourinho asked me about a tackle, an offside and a goal line clearance. I gave him brief answers to his questions.”

“After this I asked him to leave the dressing room area. He refused. I asked him again. After he refused again I asked Mr Sutton to escort him from the room.”

“At this point Mr Mourinho became very aggressive and animated. He shouted that ‘you f***ing referees are weak … (Arsene) Wenger is right about you … you are f***ing weak’.”

“I advised Mr Mourinho not to take his position in the technical area for the second half due to his actions.”

The disciplinary commission has released a statement regarding the incident and he has punished for disrespecting the match officials.

“His behaviour was unacceptable and he showed a total lack of respect for the match officials and the sanctuary of their changing room.” the statement read.

“This incident was serious because not only was Mr. Mourinho charged with using abusive and/or insulting language towards the Match Officials but he refused on two occasions to leave their changing room when requested and then had to be escorted (out).”

The stadium ban will change everything: Mourinho

The Portuguese tactician has accepted the ban and he believes it will change him for good. To add more to his misery, he will be further given a one-match stadium next year, after claiming referees were ‘afraid’ to award his team penalties in his post-match match interview last month.

“I think the message that the powers want to give me … is more than clear.” Mourinho said.

“It will change everything. The dimension of my punishment, the stadium ban that stays suspended, obviously affects everything.”

“My answers, obviously, are going to be different. The way I participate with the game, obviously, is going to be different.”
