“They (Chelsea) have gone to sign Pulisic (who is) a similar age from Dortmund. So you’re Callum Hudson-Odoi, and you’re saying ‘what do I need to do to get that chance?’ he stated.

“It’s not like a small club that has come in for him, it’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe and the world. They must have faith in him and he’s been around for a good few years now and we have been aware of him from academy football.”

Rosenior then added that he is a big fan of English players going to foreign leagues and broadening their skill set by playing in a different culture. He then wished the youngster good luck and wanted him to choose based on which club would be best for his footballing growth.

“I have been an advocate for a long time of English players going to learn on other shores because it enhances our game in terms of learning a different culture and different way of playing”, he remarked.

“Good luck to him if he wants to go and play football in a decision based on those decisions, not finances, not status, but to go and want improve as a player as be the best he can be, then good luck to him.”
