Rumour: PSG lead race for Antoine Griezmann ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly leading the race for highly-rated Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann, according to the Daily Star.

Griezmann has been highly-sought after by Arsenal and Liverpool in particular in the last few months and <Arsene Wenger admitted last month that the Griezmann was a target. The winger, who made it into France’s World Cup squad, looks set to leave Real Sociedad after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League this season.

Liverpool reportedly sent scouts to watch Griezmann in May, but it seems as though the winger may make a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Sociedad man is reportedly happy to make the move to Paris and seems set for pastures new this summer. He helped his side reach the Europa League this season, but Griezmann feels he has achieved all he can at the Spanish outfit.

PSG, who signed David Luiz last month for a fee in the region of £50 million, are willing to splash out £25 million on Griezmann. The French champions were fined £50m by UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Play rules, but club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is still insisting on spending large amounts of money to prize away the finest European assets.
Griezmann completed just 23/60 take-ons in Ligue 1 this season.
