PSG boss Blanc admits interest in Chelsea’s David Luiz and Oscar
Paris St Germain manager Laurent Blanc has admitted that he would be very interested in signing Chelsea’s Brazilian pair Oscar and David Luiz, with the latter admitting that a move to the French capital could interest him.
PSG are plotting a summer spending spree in order to improve their squad to compete in the Champions League and despite being investigated by UEFA for breaching Financial Fair Play rulings, they have set their sights on Chelsea, with Eden Hazard also believed to be a target for the French champions.
Blanc has confirmed that the Brazilian duo are players of interest to him and Luiz was coy on reported interest, but did claim he would love to link up with compatriot Thiago Silva at club level.
Blanc told reporters, “You have to be realistic. When you have all the means at the disposal of PSG, it’s embarrasing that you can’t do what you want (because of FFP).
“But we have the opportunity to prepare a good team. You have to target the needs and the positions. Oscar and David Luiz are very good players, they will interest PSG.”
Luiz did not deny an attraction to play for the Parisian outfit either, as he told reporters, “I like, Paris, it’s a superb city.
“Whenever I have a little time, I take a train and go there. To play there? You never know. We’ll see.
“They work hard to win the Champions League, so you can say it’s a great club. Yes, it would be cool to play with Thiago Silva in Paris, or even in the streets like when we were kids.”
