Transfer Rumour: PSG and Juventus eye Arsenal target Julian Draxler
According to French Radio station RMC, Paris Saint-Germain are said to be leading the race to sign German international Julian Draxler. Unai Emery is keen on bolstering his attack after a poor start to the season and has his eyes on the Wolfsburg winger. Draxler tried to force a move in the summer, but Wolfsburg refused to budge amidst interest from Arsenal, PSG and Juventus.
But their season has been a poor one and they now sit 15th in the Bundesliga and the German is reportedly intent on moving away. If reports are to be believed, PSG are already in talks with Draxler, with a €35m bid imminent.

Draxler moved to Wolfsburg from Schalke in 2013 and has impressed in the previous seasons, even helping the German team to a 2-0 home win against Real Madrid last year, in a tie they eventually lost on aggregate.
Paris Saint-Germain find themselves third in the table, four points off surprise leaders OGC Nice and behind free-scoring Monaco. A draw against Ludogorets also meant they finished second in their Champions League group and await a tie against Spanish giants Barcelona.
If the move does go through, it may mean an early exit for struggling Spanish attacker Jese, who made the switch from Madrid to Paris just this summer. The Spaniard has managed to score just one goal in 13 appearances, although only one of those was a start.

While Arsenal have been pursuing the German for a while now, they not only have to beat PSG to sign him, but may also face competition from Serie A champions, Juventus. Massimiliano Allegri is a fan of the German and wants Draxler as his trequartista. The Italian club have cash to burn, having acquired a large fee from the sale of Paul Pogba in the summer.

Draxler’s agent, Fabio Parisi had earlier stated, “He will definitely leave Wolfsburg at the end of the season. He would’ve gladly run to join Juve and is the ideal trequartista for Allegri.”
In an interview with Tuttosport, Parisi said, “I repeat: Draxler will leave, but whether or not Juventus are interested again is another matter. I think the Bianconeri can still spend big money, as their revenue is close to that of the top European clubs.
“The very real profit made on Paul Pogba will have an effect on their balance sheets for the next few years, allowing Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici to make more investments.”
Arsene Wenger, who has been a fan of the midfielder from his Schalke days, faces the unsavoury prospect of seeing yet another transfer target being snapped up by other clubs.
