Is Cavani's recent comments a big transfer boost for the Ligue 1 champions?

Cavani reveals future plans

In what will come as welcome news after an excellent season for Edinson Cavani, the prolific Uruguayan has made public his desire to remain at PSG beyond the current campaign.

Having netted 40 goals and created 12 more across all competitions this season, it's been a season to remember for the striker.

Chelsea and Europa League finalists Atletico Madrid among other European sides have been monitoring his situation recently, particularly given the fallout between himself and Neymar earlier on this term.

However, the 31-year-old forward professed his love for the club following their 2-0 Coupe de France final win over minnows Les Herbiers last night and was quoted as saying:

"With time, a certain affection has developed between the fans and us, and it's something very special for me. I'm very happy about this and the possibility of staying here. Is my future here? Of course."

Pogba offered to PSG ft. Mino Raiola

Brighton and Hove Albion v Manchester United - Premier League
Pogba has divided opinion since returning to England's top-flight two seasons ago

According to reports this morning, Mino Raiola has now offered PSG the opportunity to make an approach and sign one of his clients - Manchester United's Paul Pogba.

It's not the first time that Raiola has reportedly offered Pogba's services to interested suitors, with both Manchester City and Real Madrid said to have been monitoring his progress in the past.

However, PSG's financial power and their never-ending quest for success suggest they'd be the most likely to negotiate and eventually agree with lucrative terms in comparison. It doesn't help matters that Pogba himself is enduring a mixed campaign at United, during the Frenchman's second spell in England's top-flight.

Update on Neymar with Real Madrid still lurking

Real Madrid v Paris Saint-Germain - UEFA Champions League Round of 16: First Leg
Neymar has not featured for PSG since sustaining a season-ending injury in February

Marca reports that Neymar, currently still recovering from his foot fracture, is willing and ready to return to Spain this summer with Real Madrid heavily linked once more.

Cristiano Ronaldo - originally viewed as the major stumbling block - has reportedly given Los Blancos his blessing to do whatever they can in order to sign him, after all, he'd strengthen their squad. That is never a bad thing.

The big issue here is the fact that unlike at Barcelona, PSG did not insert a release clause in the Brazilian's contract. So technically, they could ask for however much they believe him to be worth.

With that in mind, it seems unlikely that a possible deal would be struck unless Neymar made it plainly clear that he was unhappy in France and angling for a move back to Spain's top-flight instead.

After all, he did reveal his unhappiness once before...

Celtic keen to seal a permanent move for on-loan starlet

Celtic v Rangers - Scottish Premier League
Edouard has flourished in Scotland with champions Celtic this term, but can they seal a permanent deal?

Such is the issue within PSG's level of riches and quality in their squad, that youngsters rarely get ample opportunity to prove themselves - unless they are bonafide starting talent, like Kylian Mbappé prior to his lucrative switch last summer.

The same applies to exciting forward Odsonne Edouard, whose future is still up in the air after a successful loan spell with Scottish champions Celtic under Brendan Rodgers this season.

The former Liverpool boss confirmed their interest in signing the 20-year-old on a permanent deal this summer, before admitting there was still plenty of negotiations to be done before anything was confirmed.

"His contract is pretty clear. [Celtic's chief executive] Peter [Lawwell] has met PSG and talks are ongoing, so I'm hoping we can come to an agreement.

"I know the boy is happy and PSG have enjoyed watching him develop here. It would be great if we could get this one done," Rodgers continued.
