PSG transfer news: Neymar expresses desire to leave, Wilshere's agent meets with club and more - May 21, 2018
Update on Neymar's future
Neymar's future at Paris Saint-Germain remains uncertain, ahead of an important World Cup campaign with Brazil which kicks off next month.
According to a recent report by Goal, the 26-year-old forward has made clear his desire to leave for Real Madrid - who persist with their attempts to sign him in the coming months.
Their interest in the former Barcelona winger is genuine, so much so that Neymar's agent Pini Zahavi reportedly met with Real president Florentino Perez on May 13, as they're keen to negotiate a lucrative move for his services.
PSG naturally want to keep hold of their star man and are adamant that he will remain in Paris ahead of the new campaign.
New boss Thomas Tuchel revealed he had met with Neymar, saying that despite speculation surrounding his future, the German wants to build a side around him.
As quoted by Sky Sports, he said: "I met Neymar last Sunday, it was an important meeting. He's an artist, one of the best players in the world, a key player to help us win our matches."
Wilshere's agent meets with club representatives
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, who is still considering his options, has reportedly been offered a surprise move to PSG.
This is according to reports in L'Equipe and the Mirror, who claim that his agent has met with sporting director Antero Henrique to negotiate a contract offer for the Englishman.
Wilshere, 26, has plenty of offers to choose from in the coming months - including signing a contract extension at Arsenal. His existing deal will expire in July though PSG's rumoured interest could just be a smokescreen for other clubs to offer improved terms.
Goncalo Guedes requests €40m transfer to Valencia
According to reports from Get French Football News, Gonçalo Guedes' representatives have asked PSG to allow the 21-year-old to join La Liga side Valencia on a permanent deal this summer.
Guedes, joined the Ligue 1 champions from Benfica in the January transfer window last year for a fee believed to be just below £30m.
With limited minutes threatening to hurt his development, they agreed he could be loaned out to interested parties for the 2017/18 campaign - where he flourished at Los Che and proved a pivotal part in their fourth-place finish.
Valencia are said to have already tabled a €40m (£35m) bid, but PSG appear cautious to accept anything before they hear whether they face any Financial Fair Play sanctions first.
Kylian Mbappé not for sale at any price, chairman warns
Even if PSG receive a bid of €1bn (£876m) for Kylian Mbappé's services this summer, they would not consider selling the 19-year-old - according to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Mbappé, who joined PSG from Monaco last August on an initial season-long loan deal, is set to complete a £118m permanent move this summer.
Premier League champions Manchester City and Champions League holders Real Madrid have both been heavily linked with the Frenchman's signature in recent months and are said to be monitoring his situation closely, as UEFA revealed they were investigating PSG's spending over the last 12 months.
However, despite Mbappé himself revealing he was unsure what the future held at club level, Al-Khelaifi has made an attempt to reassure supporters by telling Canal+ the following:
"You want me to give you a number [for Mbappé]? More than €1bn! Yes, I said one billion! Even if you gave me a billion, I wouldn't sell him."
