PSG transfer news: Condition set for selling Neymar, Real Madrid to compete for Courtois and more, 25th January 2018
PSG ready to sell Neymar on one condition
Neymar joined PSG in the last summer for a world record transfer fee of 222 million euros. A lot of reports, have linked Neymar to a move to Real Madrid. The defending Champions League champions identify Neymar as the long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Brazilian doesn't have a release clause in his contract, so there is no compulsion for PSG to sell him. According to Goal, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelafi has promised Neymar that he would be allowed to leave if he can win Champions League title with the club.
Neymar is enjoying life in Paris where he has scored 24 goals in just 23 appearances. But he is a boyhood Real Madrid fan and has always harboured the desire to play for the Los Blancos. The Brazilian was close to signing for Real Madrid in 2013 before Barcelona swooped in for him.
Real Madrid set to rival PSG for Courtois
Thibaut Courtois only has 18 months remaining on his current contract at Chelsea. The Belgian goalkeeper is mindful of PSG's interest in him, as he is considering his options before deciding to sign a new deal.
While PSG seem in pole position to sign the goalkeeper, Real Madrid have entered the race to sign him. According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid are trying to convince Courtois to join them.
While PSG registered their interest in him earlier, Madrid is more lucrative for the goalkeeper as his family lives there. While Chelsea would want to dig their heels, to keep hold of their prized but Courtois' refusal to sign a new contract can force their hand.
Javier Pastore ready to take a pay-cut to join Inter Milan
Javier Pastore has struggled to get first-team opportunities at Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentine playmaker realises that he needs to play more to revive his chances of making Argentina's World Cup squad.
According to Sport Mediaset, the 28-year-old is willing to take a pay-cut to join Inter Milan team. He reportedly earns around 10 million Euros at PSG, an amount which is unfeasible for Inter Milan.
Pastore is eager for playing time and in order to join Serie A giants the playmaker is ready to take more than 30% pay-cut.
