PSG transfer news: Ronaldo looking to leave Madrid, Cavani wants to stay in Paris and more - 30th December 2017
Ronaldo looking for a fresh start
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and has taken his game to another level since landing in Madrid. The Portuguese is one of the greatest players to have ever graced the game as he has won 5 Ballon D Ors in his glittering career.
According to the Daily Record, Cristiano Ronaldo is looking to make a move away from Real Madrid. The 32-year-old has reportedly requested his current club to accept a realistic transfer fee for him so that he can make a fresh start in his career. PSG look in pole position to sign the forward while Manchester United are also monitoring the situation.
Cavani wants to stay in Paris
Edinson Cavani had some differences with his superstar teammate Neymar at the start of the season. When Neymar came to PSG for a world record 222 million euro fee, he was supposed to be the man, around whom the team was going to be built.
There were rumours that Cavani might be sold next summer, but the Uruguayan striker has dismissed all those rumours. The 20-year-old striker said that he has no problems with Neymar and is excited to play with him.
"We have a great relationship, We are very professional and our goal is teamwork and the club. Everyone was really happy when he [Neymar] signed because he's such a great player and so it was a good thing for the club, for the team. It was incredibly exciting for all of us." Cavani said as quoted by the Telegraph.
Javier Pastore to stay at PSG
Javier Pastore is a very talented player, who came to PSG with much fanfare. But the Argentinian midfielder has failed to become a player everyone thought he might become. With likes of Verrati, Rabiot, and Motta doing well, the Argentine has struggled for first-team chances.
Javier Pastore's agent suggested that the player might make a move in January. But the player rubbished the statement of his agent and said that he is focussed at PSG as he still has 18 months left on his contract.
Jese Rodriguez determined to do well in Stoke
Jese Rodriguez has joined Stoke City on loan from PSG this season. The Spanish winger had a great start to life in England but it fell away and he has only started 7 games in the Premier League this season. The striker has not featured in close to a month now, as he is looking after his ill son in Spain.
There were rumours that Stoke might decide to terminate his contract. But Stoke manager Hughes has backed the player saying that Jese is determined to do well in Premier League.
'He wants to be a success here. Clearly, the Premier League is where he wants to be, with us. It's just unfortunate because of his family circumstances that he hasn't been able to fully commit to what he's needed to do here to be effective for us.' Hughes said as quoted by the DailyMail.
