Pune FC part ways with Dutch coach Mike Snoei

Pune FC and Dutch coach Mike Snoei have parted ways after mutually agreeing terms, the club announced through a press release on Friday.

The club statement read: “The club would like to thank Mike for the integrity with which he has worked at the club and would like to wish him best for the future. The management will announce the new coach shortly.“

Pune managed their worst-ever I-League finish of seventh under Snoei in the 2013-14 I-League after always being in the top five during the four-year stint of Derrick Pereira. The Red Lizards also crashed out from the group stage of the Federation Cup without picking up a single win from their three matches and were also eliminated from the group stage in their maiden AFC Cup appearance.

One of the few positives from the campaign was the emergence of the club's several academy graduates into the first team. It remains to be seen whether Pune opt for a foreign or Indian replacement.
