QPR hijack Newcastle's Remy deal
Newcastle’s latest target, Loic Remy, maybe all set to be hijacked by Harry Redknapp. The 26-year-old French international was due to arrive at Tyneside, but failed to do so. Alan Padrew hoped he could fill the void left by Demba Ba by the signing the striker.
Remy had previously said that he would not be moving to Loftus Road, but Queen’s Park Rangers have matched Marseille’s price for the French striker and also offered him a more lucrative deal, reported to be £70,000 per week. QPR manager Harry Redknapp –having scouted the player on numerous occasions — believes Remy’s goals can help the London club out of the relegation zone.
Remy has started only 2 times out of the 14 appearances he has made for the team. He was also left out of the squad for the match against Sochaux.
