Rafael Benitez faces one-game ban for insulting remarks, Gonzalo Higuain fined

Rafael Benitez’s angry reaction did not go down too well with the Italian Football Federation

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez has been banned for one game by the Italian Football Federation for shouting 's*** Italian football,' after his team's draw against Parma. Napoli came twice from behind against Parma to earn a 2-2 draw.

The result cost Napoli two crucial points in their quest for Champions League football next season. Napoli trail third-placed Lazio by three points with just three games to go.

The manager was clearly not happy with the result as their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League took a blow. Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain was also fined €10,000 for insulting Parma goalkeeper Antonio Mirante.

Higuain came on as a second-half substitute and got into a heated argument with Mirante after the match. The ban means that Benitez would miss his team's clash against Cesena.

The Spaniard faces a tough task of having to face Juventus and Lazio and getting results against them in the remaining fixtures to book a place in the Champions League.
