Real Madrid 1-3 AC Milan: Player ratings as Rafael Leao sentences Los Blancos to consecutive losses at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid fell to a second consecutive defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu after losing 3-1 to AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday (November 5). Portuguese winger Rafael Leao put on a fabulous show to help his side outclass Los Blancos.

The Rossionerri opened the scoring in the 12th minute after connecting with a Christian Pulisic corner. Los Blancos drew level in the 23rd minute after Enerson Royal brought down Vinicius Junior in the box. The Brazilian stepped up and converted the penalty for the home side.

Leao then took charge of the game and set up the next two goals to decide the game. He set up Alvaro Morata after some fine work at the edge of the box in the 39th minute before assisting Tijjani Reijnders in the 73rd minute.

Andriy Lunin - 6/10

The Ukrainian made six saves in the match to keep the score respectable for Real Madrid. He prevented 0.24 goals and made eight recoveries. He gets a poor rating because of the goals he conceded.

Lucas Vazquez - 5/10

The veteran defender was far from his best and was rinsed every time he faced Rafael Leao. He lost three duels in the 90 minutes he spent on the pitch.

Eder Militao- 6/10

The Brazilian was poor for Real Madrid as evidenced by his inability to protect his goal. He won five out of nine tackles and made five recoveries in the game.

Antonio Rudiger - 6/10

The German had a respectable game, but a defender on a losing team that conceded three goals can get a rating only this high. He got the ball in the back of the net but saw his strike ruled out for offside. Rudiger also completed the most passes in the game (52).

Ferland Mendy - 5/10

The Frenchman had a poor game for the home side. He completed 32 passes from 38 touches and did not do much in 74 minutes on the pitch.

Aurelien Tchouameni - 6/10

The French midfielder completed 23 passes in his 45 minutes on the pitch. He won all six duels he participated in but could not help Real Madrid avoid defeat.

Luka Modric - 6/10

The 2018 Ballon d'Or winner was not at his brilliant best for Los Blancos. He played 63 minutes and completed 94% (49/52) of his passes.

Jude Bellingham - 7/10

The Englishman had a tough game out wide for Real Madrid. While he gave a respectable account of himself, it was not enough to make a difference. He won one tackle and completed three dribbles before his withdrawal in the 74th minute.

Federico Valverde - 5/10

The Uruguayan had an uncharacteristically poor game for Los Blancos against AC Milan. He completed all 16 passes he attempted before his half-time withdrawal but did not do much else in his time on the pitch.

Kylian Mbappe - 7.5/10

The Frenchman failed to find the back of the net but gave a spirited account of himself in the match for the Spanish outfit. He completed the most dribbles in the game (four) and took six shots, half of which were on target.

Vinicius Junior - 8/10

The Brazilian star was the best Los Blancos Player in the match. He won and converted a penalty to draw his side level. He created the most chances in the match (five) but lost the most duels as well (nine).

Eduardo Camavinga - 7/10

The Frenchman came on at half-time and had an immediate impact on the game, introducing dynamism into the midfield. He completed the most tackles in the game (four).

Brahim Diaz - 7/10

The Moroccan forward came on at half-time but did not have enough time to change Real Madrid's fortunes. He completed 17 passes and won two duels.

Daniel Ceballos - 6/10

The midfielder came on for 27 minutes and completed 34 passes from 37 touches. He did not do much else in the game.

Fran Garcia - 6/10

The Spanish defender completed 94% (17/18) of his passes in his 16 minutes on the pitch. He did not do much more in the game for Los Blancos.

Rodrygo - 7/10

The Brazilian came on and brought in a noticeable change to the Real Madrid attack in his 16 minutes on the pitch. He won all six duels he got in and tested Mike Maignan once.
