Real Madrid insist that Arsenal target Alvaro Morata will not join Juventus
Real Madrid have denied that Alvaro Morata is set to move to Juventus, after reports had suggested that the Spanish striker had already agreed terms to move to Serie A over the summer.
Morata is looking for assurances over his future at Real Madrid after struggling to break into the first team at Santiago Bernabeu and reports linking the European champions with big money moves for further striking reinforcements, with Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero reported targets.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for the the Spanish Under 21 international as Arsene Wenger looks to beef up his forward options, but it looked as though they had missed out on his signature with reports suggesting he had already agreed to move to Juventus ahead of next season.
However, Real president Florentino Perez has denied suggestions that a deal is in place to allow Morata to move to Turin, though he did state talks do need to take place between club and player to determine his future.
Perez told reporters, “I am friends with the Juventus executives and president Andrea Agnelli. But I have not spoken to them regarding Morata and, honestly, the possibilities that he goes to play in Turin are zero.
“I will meet the player and we will find the best solution for him and the club.”
