Reports: Real Madrid plot sensational Gareth Bale swap deal to sign EPL superstar
What's the story?
Gareth Bale was an absolute superstar in the Premier League when he was playing for Tottenham and now latest reports in the Daily Star claim that the Welshman could be on his way back to London with Harry Kane moving the other way.
With Karim Benzema struggling, Real Madrid are desperate to sign a top quality forward and Harry Kane is certainly seen as the type of player who would fit into Bernabeu perfectly. The Spanish giants have been heavily linked with Kane in the last few transfer windows and it seems like they are now ready to give Bale in exchange for the England international.
In case you didn't know...
Harry Kane has been in fine form for Tottenham Hotspur and he even ended the calendar year as the highest goalscorer in 2017 ahead of the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Cavani and Lewandowski.
Gareth Bale, on the other hand, has struggled with injury concerns in the last two years and the Welshman could rediscover his mojo if he makes the move back to the club which groomed him into the superstar he is today.

The heart of the matter
Signed amid much fanfare for £85 million by Real Madrid four years ago, the speedy winger initially settled in superbly putting in a number of match-winning performances in the Champions League, La Liga and Copa Del Rey.
However, with the Welshman earning close to £350,000/week and struggling to remain fit for a consistently long period of time, thereby affecting his performances for the club.
Another important aspect is that Tottenham have the right to match the clause inserted in Bale's contract which means that they will have to be informed if Madrid decide to sell Bale to any of their PL rival, like Manchester United.

Author's take
Real Madrid always seem to get the man they want and it seems inevitable that Harry Kane will sign for Los Blancos in the future. Arguably the best 'number 9' in world football at the moment, the English international will certainly add an extra dimension to the already excellent Madrid attack.
