Real Madrid identify Zinedine Zidane's successor
According to the Sun, club president Florentino Perez has been mightily impressed by the work done by Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur and intends to lure him back to Spain if the situation arises to sack Zinedine Zidane in the summer. The Frenchman is safe in his job at the moment but a trophyless season might change the post-season scenario. It is believed that Perez has told his close associates that Pochettino is the man to lead Real Madrid after Zidane.
Marco Asensio wants to join Manchester United
After starring in Real Madrid's win over Eibar, Marco Asensio and his representatives want to hold talks with the club over his future. Asensio wants a major role at the club and is desperate to start every possible game for Los Blancos. So far in the season, Asensio has been given seven starts in which he has scored three and assisted two goals. But he hasn't been a starter in the big games which has reportedly irked the talented forward.
Diario Gol understands that Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation with Asensio set to look for a transfer next summer if he isn't guaranteed a major role in the side.
