Real Madrid left-back Marcelo injured, out for at least two weeks
Real Madrid left back Marcelo will be unavailable for Real Madrid’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday after suffering a hamstring tear.
According to the official medical report released by the club, Marcelo had undergone further tests on Monday morning, and was diagnosed with a first-grade tear on his left hamstring.

“We have a good replacement for Marcelo, Coentrao has the experience and he’s fresh for this game,” Ancelotti revealed in his pre-match conference. “Coentrao has the same job as Marcelo.”
According to UEFA.com, Marcelo could be out for at least 15 days, a big blow for Ancelotti after right back Alvaro Arbeloa was sidelined with a knee injury last week. He is also expected to miss Real Madrid’s away tie against Real Sociedad at the Anoeta stadium along.
