Rumour: Real Madrid send top scout to watch Luis Suarez during the World Cup

Real Madrid have reportedly sent their top scout to watch exciting dynamo Luis Suarez at this summers World Cup in Brazil, according to the Metro.

The majestic Uruguayan striker has just come off the back of a memorable season for the Reds and his performances have caught the eye of potential suitors once again. Suarez was the Premier League’s top goalscorer and also shared the European Golden Boot with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Suarez is currently on the sidelines doing his utmost to get back from injury, after having surgery on his knee in May. Suarez suffered the injury in training with Uruguay as he prepared for the tournament, however, Suarez now seems set to miss the opening clash with Costa Rica.

Real Madrid have sent one of their most trusted scouts to watch Suarez when he returns to fitness and have asked him to draw up a detailed progress report.

Suarez came close to leaving Liverpool last season, but Brendan Rodgers and co. managed to hang on to the world class striker. He went on to excel for the Reds as they finished second in the Premier League, thus qualifying for the Champions League for the first time in five years.
