#3 Pochettino could join Real Madrid
Former Liverpool superstar Graeme Souness has opined that Real Madrid are a more enticing option for Mauricio Pochettino than Manchester United. While the Red Devils have had a 100% win record since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the general consensus is that he could be replaced by Pochettino in the summer.

However, Souness believes that the Pochettino’s Latin roots might make him want to join Madrid over another English club, just like how most Latin players prefer going to Spain over England.
“We’re focusing on him possibly going to Manchester United but there’s another very big job coming up in the summer, maybe before that, in Real Madrid.
“Now I know that any Latin player would rather go to Real Madrid than go to Man United.
“Maybe a manager is the same, Latins generally gravitate to Barcelona or Real Madrid.”
Souness then added that he agrees with Pochettino’s notion of Spurs having to change their approach in the market because there are only two ways to go on about things: spend in the market or wait for the youth academy to produce talents.
However, Souness advocates the former as it is almost impossible to win with youth academy players rising to stardom.
“I read a couple of weeks ago and he’s repeated it - ‘we have to work in a different way’,” Souness continued.
“There’s only two ways you can operate. You go out and have a splurge, spend lots of money, and you buy players and hopefully, you get five out of six right. Or you wait for youth.
“And if they’re going to just rely on youth players breaking through and being main men like Harry Kane is, forget it - they won’t be challenging the big guys.”
