Real Madrid won’t pay more than €150 million for Premier League superstar, Gareth Bale set to be sold and more Real Madrid transfer news: March 1, 2019
Hello and welcome to the Real Madrid transfer news and rumours for the day! Here are the top stories surrounding the Galacticos tonight!
Marcotti on Gareth Bale
Journalist Gabriel Marcotti has claimed that Gareth Bale might be unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu. The Welshman recently came into attention for not celebrating his goal with Lucas Vazquez and Marcotti thinks that he has some issues.
However, he also believes that Gareth Bale doesn’t want to leave as no club would offer him the wages that the Blancos do, which means that the former Tottenham man is actually stuck.
“When you make a decision to go and act that way after you score - this is Real Madrid you’re at, the biggest goldfish bowl in the world - three days before El Clasico, people will talk about this, you will be under scrutiny,” Marcotti said.
“It speaks of someone who I think is unhappy and has one or two issues.
“But equally he had the opportunity to leave, he doesn’t want to leave either.
“Possibly because nobody is going to go and give him the wages that he gets at Real Madrid and no other club that might want him can match the stage of the Bernabeu. He’s stuck there.”
Real Madrid’s maximum offer for Kane
Florentino Perez wants to end Madrid’s goal-scoring problems and, as a result, has targeted Harry Kane from Tottenham. However, he is not willing to pay more than €150 million for the Englishman, according to reports from Spain.
If Spurs still don’t agree, they could ask Kane to force a move.
Bale is sentenced
So reads the headline at AS as Real Madrid have decided to cash in on Gareth Bale. The Blancos are apparently not pleased with his attitude and have decided to sell him in the summer but won’t do so for anything less than a €100 million.
